The Seattle Seahawks General Manager John Schneider and Head Coach Pete Carroll conferenced with the media following the second day of the NFL Draft to talk about the selections of pass rusher Darrell Taylor and offensive lineman Damien Lewis. They both talk about the impression the player made on them throughout the process leading up to the draft and the strengths fo the two players. Schneider says that if Taylor hadn't been playing through injury in 2019, he would have gone in the first round. Carroll says he expects Lewis to come in and compete for playing time right away. Just says after the pick, the Seahawks released veteran right guard D.J. Fluker, which may show even more the type of confidence they have in Lewis to make the transition to the NFL.
