Bobby Valentine, better known as “Bobby V” is a former Major League Baseball Player and Manager, who is now the current Athletic Director at Sacred Heart University. He was drafted 5th overall in the 1968 MLB draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers and only a year later had his MLB debut. He retired in 1979 with the Seattle Mariners and not too long after became the Manager for the Texas Rangers in 1985. He was a manager in the MLB for collectively 16 years with the Texas Rangers, New York Mets, and Boston Red Sox. Bobbly also had a stunt of years where he coached professional baseball in Japan. He retired from managing in 2012 and a year later became the Athletic Director for Sacred Heart University, where he still remains.


 In this episode, we discuss Bobby’s time coaching professional baseball in Japan and why he chose to coach there for a number of years. We also talked about his past years as a player, analyst, as well as his current life as a college Athletic Director.
