The first week of the preseason is in the books, and host Pat Fitzmaurice (@Fitz_FF) is joined by Andy Behrens (@AndyBehrens) to discuss it. Andy talks about the injury scare to his beloved former University of Iowa tight end, George Kittle, what he expects from Kittle, and his overall view of the TE crop from a fantasy perspective. Andy also discusses his beloved Chicago Bears and why their offense might not get off to a fast start, and then Andy and Pat take a detour for a quick conversation about Chicago restaurants.
Andy was heavily invested in Derrius Guice, who tore his ACL in the first preseason game and is out for the year, so there’s talk about the aftermath for the Washington running game. Pat and Andy also touch on Saquon Barkley and the Browns’ wide receivers. Andy is the president of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association, so he and Pat discuss the state of fantasy football writing. Andy also lists a few of the players he’s heavily invested in and a few players he’s avoided in early drafts.
