If you're like me, you likely have a bunch of stuff sitting around your house that you haven't touched or even thought about in years. It's time to go through those things and get them sold! Nowadays, it's so incredibly easy to sell what we no longer use. When we do this, we can earn some extra cash that we can use towards saving up for our starter emergency fund or getting a boost on paying down our debt.

I prefer using Facebook groups. Usually, these groups are known as garage sale groups (or something similar). You can join these groups by simply doing a search in Facebook and asking to join. From there, you can list your items for sale in a huge marketplace that will be seen by thousands of people. There are other sites where you can sell your stuff (such as Craigslist), but I personally prefer the Facebook route. One of the huge benefits is that you gain the social media aspect of Facebook where people may share what you're selling if they know someone who may be interested.

If you've accumulated a pile of stuff to sell but haven't pulled the trigger yet, it's time to get moving! I'm going to start selling stuff this weekend, and I highly recommend that you get started as well. Let's sell some stuff and pay off some debt!
