Our judiciary is only as good as we make it.  Tonight we had candid discussions with several candidates running for the bench. We got a mere glimpse into those folks' hearts and minds.  Conor Cocoran, button #120 and 124, told us He is an "OBama Democrat" and wants to change the "pay to play" flavor of our City's Democracy: Stephanie Sawyer, button #126, is Real, She's Raw , and suggests that Judges need to be more in tune with the people they serve: Rania Major button # 116, told us that she gets it, she is from the Hood, the 30th Ward that is. Rania told us she won't forget from whence she hails and that she will not develop Judgeitis: Leon King, button #118 the only King on the ballot, told us he plans to thwart the Mayor's plan to increase the prison population (because the Mayor wants to build more jails), by diversifying the judicial system and creating more alternatives to jail, Leon said he will continue the fight even if he isn't elected to the bench. These are but a few candidates who dared to be bold, dared to open up a little to the For the People Fam, listen in and then Get out and Vote on May 21, 2013.
