The Dream Act!
David Bennion, Esq., Immigration Attorney and Immigration Historian extraordinaire joined the FTP Fam to educate us all on the nuisances of the Deferred Action for childhood arrivals, or D.A.C.A. This piece of legislation is what actually stands in the place of the Dream Act.  We learned that although the impetus for such legislation was to try and provide some legal protection for children of illegal immigrants brought here as youngsters, the legislation is merely prophylactic and does not guarantee these children any longevity.  The topic of children of illegal immigrants and their state of legal uncertainty is real and quite disturbing.  If you know someone who may be touched by D.A.C.A even if you don't and just want to be educated and entertained, check this episode out!
