This week Romana talks about her fear of pregnancy tests as we gear up to find out the results of our recent IVF transfer.

Romana also chats to Michael Frank.  Michael is the author of The Mighty Franks, which was named one of the best books of 2017 by The Telegraph and The New Statesman and won the 2018 JQ Wingate Prize in England.  His new novel, What is Missing is (among other things) a love triangle, a father-son story, and an exploration of the subject of infertility.  'It may possibly be the first literary novel to take on the ''uncharted ground'' on which families can be built, or rebuilt, by IVF (The Wall Street Journal).'  You can read more about Michael and his books at www.michaelfrank.com. Michael has also written an article for Time Magazine 'What Almost Four Years in the Land of Infertility Taught me about Waiting'. You can read it here

Talking to Michael was hugely insightful.  We chatted about many things including what inspired him to write What is Missing, how he dealt with the waiting that comes with infertility and IVF, meditation, buddhism and the strange atmosphere in IVF waiting rooms!  Michael also read a couple of excerpts from the book.

We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed recording.
