Having a positive influence on other people’s lives is a blessing.
Ms. Suzanne used Meerkat as her social platform to share her thoughts, insights and share a good influence on her growing followers. She’s not used to be called an influencer but she realized that many already know her.
(00:57-01:05) Hi, I’m Suzanne Nguyen under the String story. String means I connect to people, time, place and innovation together.
(01:08-01:20) My personal branding String story probably about 6 years but then I discovered a video launching on yourself. I was on me Meerkat about two and a half years ago and since then my people online have grown exponentially.
(02:06-02:25) By accident because I’m just a verbal communicator. I don’t consider myself as an influencer. People call me an influencer and at the end of the day, I just wanna tell, I wanna chit chat about the future. I talk to smart people because I find if I talk to smart people, I’ll learn. I become a better person and understand what the future looks like.
(02:42-02:58) They know you but you don’t know them. That’s a glam understanding that you become internet famous. And that happened to me when I was walking on the streets of San Francisco for the very first time. Walking down Marquetry and a person messaged me on Instagram.
Media-friendly content has influence.
Ms. Suzanne was not really expecting that her branding will get attention to the netizens. She shared her activities as she traveled to some countries.
(03:19-03:39) A person who has self-awareness. A woman has like understanding of the power of feminity or the fabulousness like you said. And when they understand that they have like a strong sparkle inside them like I want women that sparkles like you sparkle when you’re in camera.
(04:02-04:33) I think what I did, what people do they have too many options on not to focus enough. But when you realize that you have organized fried chickens parties because that’s part of my branding. When I was in America I did like mini virtue and I went to Ape and cities and organized every city that I went to had like fried chicken parties like individuals or people.
(05:54-06:17) I think it’s because I realized at the end of the day when we think about it, distribute down to the subjective call of things. I have a format branding and you would take it as well. Your brand equals your vision, your values plus your visuals like has to be strong visuals and your voice. And when you all have these 4 V’s in place then you have a brand.
The most beautiful accessory is confidence.
Be yourself. Do not be intimidated by other people’s opinions. Just be confident and do amazing things. Ms. Suzanne was asked why she is confident enough to share what’s on her mind.
(06:38-06:56) People always ask me, how do you become confident in front of the camera. I didn’t realize that I have a surely strong story. But people kept asking me more questions so I think what you need to realize like you have your own perspective of things. People really wanna know your points about things.
(07:09-07:42) Practice makes perfect. Originally I didn’t like my face as well. Actually, when people call me cute I get angry. Your face and your voice is an advantage. No one has your voice, no one has your perspective and your thinking. No one has your face. Just realize that your story has value, your voice has value and you start to believe in yourself.
(08:13-08:26) The Start-up show is one of my clients. I’ve been able to travel around the world as a freelance because a lot of people want valuable content so that the Startup show is one of my clients that pays me on a retainer basis to create valuable content.
A brand is worth it if it connects to the people in a relevant way.
We can never deny that social media brought power to each individual to share opinions, ideas and even experiences that inspire other people. Ms. Suzanne defined what is influencing her.
(09:12-09:25) I don’t think influence is a key to inspire people to do an action. You can inspire one person to realize that they can make a difference and network are important for me because I like connecting people.
(10:13-10:36) Find your passion. If you could do it every day that would inspire you to wake up and feel joy then that’s already a win for you. If you could do something like that every day just finds that passion and by finding that passion and monetize. If you know how to monetize your passion, you become successful before you even realize it.
(11:30-11:38) I think when I started treating myself like a product. When you’re like a brand, and there are two ways of doing brands.
You get what you worked hard.
Ms. Suzanne shared her life advice and money matters that will help us to be who we wanted to be.
(14:13-14:25) We all have an emotional relationship with money. Asking for money is something a lot of people do and know how to do it. But that’s a step of an entrepreneur right? Asking for money, being paid for money, paying on time, looking up paying full.
(15:05-15:16) Work hard and then like, sleep a lot after work. Because I have so much information so I need time so that my brain will digest.
