On today's episode, Jason and Producer Rob G kick things off with a deep dive into the blockbuster trade that saw the Green Bay Packers send superstar wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. Adams has been arguably the best receiver in football for the past few years, and he should be a difference maker for the Silver and Black. In fact, our fearless leaders argues that with Adams on the outside, Darren Waller at tight end, Hunter Renfrow in the slot and Josh McDaniels calling plays, the Raiders could look eerily similar to those 2007 New England Patriots with Randy Moss, Rob Gronkowski and Wes Welker. On the flip side, Aaron Rodgers can't be happy about losing the only legitimate outside receiving option he has. Even though the stats say that Rodgers has been fine without Adams in the lineup, no one really expects he'll be able to keep it up over the course of a full season. What's more, the timing of the trade makes it so that they've already missed out on the top receivers available in free agency (Allen Robinson) and will now be forced to pivot to good-but-great options (Jarvis Landry) or damaged goods (Odell Beckham Jr). Any way you slice it, Thursday was a bad day for Rodgers and the Packers. Later, the guys share their thoughts on Day 1 of the NCAA Tournament. Brackets were busted all across the country when Iowa and Kentucky were upset in round one - but that's part of what makes March Madness so much fun! So naturally, you're going to want to stick around to the end of this episode for Jason's Best Bets for Day 2.
