On today's episode, Jason and Producer Rob G do a deep dive into the state of the Los Angeles Clippers on the heels of their loss to the New York Knicks. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis banged up, many pundits have pegged the Clippers as the favorites to represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals. However, after what we saw from Paul George and Kawhi Leonard on Sunday, do you really think you can trust them on the big stage? Both players have a history of folding in clutch situations. 'Playoff P' hasn't been great in the playoffs in years, and Kawhi's postseason reputation has been fluffed up thanks in large part to him beating an injury-ravaged Golden State Warriors squad in the 2019 NBA Finals. Jason even went so far as to say that he's rooting for the Clippers to lose, which sounds bad on its face until Rob G notes that the Clips aren't historically relevant enough for anyone to actually root against. Damn. Later, the guys discuss a hypothetical Paul George-for-Damian Lillard trade that could take place this summer. Both expect the Clippers and Trail Blazers to flame out of the playoffs rather early, so it could make sense for Portland and Los Angeles to try and shake things up in the offseason. The Blazers could look to appease Lillard and send him somewhere with a better chance at winning a championship, and with Kawhi's free agency looming the Clippers could look to pair him with a more explosive player who has better leadership skills than PG. Not saying this All-Star swap is definitely going to happen, but it does, remember where you heard it first.
