Cornerback may be the most difficult position to play in today’s NFL outside of quarterback. Not only is the talent pool at wide receiver deeper than it’s ever been, the rules of the modern game are in their favor, making a corner’s job even harder. Safeties are taking on a more important – and diverse – role in today’s NFL. The league is trending towards more lighter personnel packages, more three-safety packages, and more hybrid defenders.

Here we are with the final installment of our NFL Top 7 series. FSP and our listeners came together to make a list of who we perceive to be the top 7 Cornerbacks and Safeties going into the upcoming NFL season.
