Gab & Jam Episode 107 Goals “20 for 2020” Video Description

Our goal is to look at what we committed to improving—or starting—what we actually did and what we didn’t and, finally, looking at ways that we could have improved upon the results.

This episode is a direct response to a practice that I learned about by listening to the “Happier” podcast, hosted by Gretchen Rubin. Rubin co-hosted the episode with her sister, Elizabeth. It was so fun and inspiring that it seemed like a less intimidating way to set goals for the new year. So, I decided to try this with my buddy/my pal/my hubby, since many of my goals include him.

We’ve decided that the best reason to set goals for a new year—and, sometimes, these may take the form of New Year’s Resolutions—is to find areas of focus to improve upon. Further, the end of the year is a great time to reflect on your progress of the prior year and to set some ideas for improvement for the next year. Since we are all human and we are going to never be perfect, but we can become better at the things we care about if we set those intentions.
