- The historic Steel Pier with amusement-park games and rides, featuring the third largest observation wheel in the US, at 227 Feet, with 40 temperature controlled gondolas
- Four miles of beachfront with clean sand, lifeguards and beach bars
- Surfing and a surf school on the beach
- Steel Pier helicopter rides along the Jersey Shore
- Parasailing along the beach
- Windsurfing instruction
- The Atlantic City Aquarium
- A top equestrian center (Nearby Mays Landing) with competitions and horseback riding through the enormous Pine Barrens (remember that from The Sopranos)
- (Perhaps a sighting of the legendary "Jersey Devil")
- The Historic Absecon Lighthouse is open for visitors (third tallest in the US)
- Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum
- Imax Theater at Tropicana
- Deep-sea-fishing charters
- Surf fishing
- Whale watching and dolphin watching boat tours and Booze Cruise
- The Lucky Snake, an amazing arcade in the former Showboat casino (largest arcade in the East)
- Tanger Outlets for the "shoppers" featuring a Bass Pro Shop
- Madame Tussauds Wax Museum
- Comedy Club at Borgata with three new comics each week
- Historic (non-casino) restaurants such as Chef Vola, The Knife and Fork, and Dock's Oyster House, all over 100 years old
- The Atlantic City Historical Museum
- Concerts and events at Boardwalk Hall, home of the original Miss America Pageant.
- Tours of one of the nearby wineries
- Golf, plenty of great courses including the historic Atlantic City Country Club (where the term "birdie" was first coined)
- One of my favorite things: "people watching" (people are fascinating) while relaxing, walking or biking on the historic Boardwalk
- AAU sanctioned volleyball events on the beach
