Shonda has a very impressive record of winning programs everywhere she has played as well as coached.  In her playing days at UNC Greensboro, they won back-to-back Big South Conference Championships. Her winning ways started early in her career at Ashland University as a graduate assistant where they set the record for the most wins.  Quickly, she moved to the head coaching world at IUPUI with a 27-25 record and then to a very successful career at Marshal University of 18 years with 560-430-2 record.

Coach Stanton took the head coaching job at Indiana University in 2017 and then after a slow 2018 season, took the Hoosiers to a 36-21 record.  Then, the IU softball team was on their way to another good season with a 12-9 record before the pandemic stopped all softball.

We are pleased to have Shonda as our guest on our Gap to Gap show as we will get to know more about her, the IU program and just some general softball talk including what changes she is making, or will make, due to the pandemic.

The show will begin at noon easter time on Monday May 4th.  I hope you can join us and feel free to call in with questions or you can send me questions at hollyknight@nationalfastpitchacademy.com or you can join us on our Facebook Page and ask questions there.
