Focus Scripture: Daniel 4:1-17

Daniel chapter 4 is one of the most unusual and amazing chapters in the entire Bible.  There is no sweeping prophetic revelation as we have seen and will see in Daniel.  This is the only chapter in the entire Bible that has been authorized by a pagan king.  This is the personal testimony of the most powerful man in the known world at that time in history.  It is a remarkable evidence of the grace of God displayed through the life king Nebuchadnezzar.  At times we meet people who from our human perspective are unsavable.  I made that word up.  Theologically we know that God can save anyone who comes to Him by faith in His Son the Lord Jesus.  Yet in our human viewpoint we see a person who is so wicked that we don’t really believe that they could be saved one day.  Had we lived in Daniel’s time I suspect that Nebuchadnezzar would have been one of those persons.  God however dealt with him and chapter 4 is his personal testimony.
