As we look at the story of the “Feeding of the 5,000” we must be reminded that up until and including this point in Jesus ministry He was increasing in popularity. In spite of the opposition of religious leaders the crowds had grown to great numbers.

The story of the “Feeding of the 5,000” is far more about Faith than it is about Food. Although we are called as individuals and as a church to help those in our community this story is not primarily about the feeding but the Faith involved.
