We look around our world and especially within our own culture and wonder what in the world is happening? We can see that a great spiritual battle is raging on all fronts for the hearts and minds of men and women. We find ourselves in the middle of a cosmic struggle between truth and a morally indifferent culture. Many Christians find it increasingly difficult to understand clearly how their faith should be impacting all aspects of life. A nationwide survey conducted by the Barna Research Group determined that only 4% of Americans had a “biblical” worldview. In the same survey only 9% of “born again” believers answered yes to questions like “Do absolute moral truths exist?” “Is God the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and does He still rule today?” “Did Jesus Christ live a sinless life?” “Is Satan real?” The things that are happening in culture and in much of the church are worldview issues.
