Message #4 – The Times of the Gentiles (2:24-49)

On Sunday we will see the first thing that Daniel did when the Lord revealed to him Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and its interpretation. He immediately asked that the wise men of Babylon not be killed. Daniel recognized that people are made in the image of God and are therefore of intrinsic value. Daniel disagreed with their worldview but he recognized their right to life. This is an example of true tolerance. At this critical time in our country we need to follow Daniel’s example especially within our own congregation. Do not assume that everyone at Grace Bible is of the same political persuasion. We are united by Christ not by our political affiliations. We need to be gracious with those we disagree with especially during this current season. We need to be careful about what we communicate through social media. We need to heed the words of the Apostle Paul. Colossians 4:6, “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.”
