The central point in the celebration of Christmas is the virgin birth of Jesus Christ (30-31).

It is worth noting that the angel Gabriel was the one who spoke to Daniel of the coming of “Messiah the Prince” (Daniel 9:25).  When we speak of the Virgin Birth, we need to understand that it is a virginal conception.  Jesus’ birth was natural even though we most often refer to it as the Virgin Birth.  This is an important distinction to make.  The humanity of Jesus is at the forefront in His first advent.  He veiled His glory, Philippians 2:8, “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself…”
