  1. In this passage Jesus is constantly being referred to as light. Why is Jesus called light? What qualities/attributes of Jesus compare to light?

  2. What is the “darkness” mentioned twice in John 1:5?

  3. In John 1:10-11 people resist and hide from the light. Why is this a common human tendency? What examples do you see of this in our world?

  4. What have been some “dark days” in your life? Share as you feel comfortable.

  5. How has Jesus been like a light to you during dark times?
