#29: "feeling very weird" + nurturing #SpringtimeIntentions - a podcast by Kat D James

I’ve recently hit PAUSE (and you might have noticed!)

Although I was feeling the excitement & eagerness of Spring, I spent the last days of Winter hibernating a little longer, savoring the last drop of Winter energy. I didn't plan on doing this... but I gained some beautiful uninterrupted time w/ my children (these moments pass quickly!) PLUS had several "ah-ha!" moments.

As a mom of 3 with an entrepreneurial spirit, something had to fall off my plate while my husband was traveling for work for 26 days. There was no way I could keep up with all the things. What “fell of the plate” was putting focused time into my work.

But I didn't mind the step-back so much (although there was a constant underlying tension that I "should" be posting on Instagram, and I "should" be recording more episodes, and I "should" be putting out more content).

In this episode I share some real life happenings + what I've been up to, AND I chat about...

  • what died in Winter (aka what I'm not doing anymore!)

  • what I remembered during the 26 days of single-parenting

  • what seeds I am planting + nurturing this Spring

I also wanted to share something else that I have been feeling lately, and this post by @MxPujaSingh states it beautifully.

"I've been feeling very weird about calling myself a teacher lately"

It's not why I have been away for so long, but perhaps it has something to do with it. As a White woman, cis-gendered, able-bodied, I have been feeling weird about calling myself a teacher, too. I don't chat in depth about it in this episode, but I will be going live on IGTV to explore this topic!

You can join me Live on Friday or for the replay! (+ check out the other vidz I already have up on the channel)
