I softened my voice, “It’s just that each time you lied to me it makes me feel like I don’t matter. It makes me feel like a woman of the streets!” I lowered my head and tears dropped down my face.

Samson hated tears. Specially mine.

“Oh Delilah…” He cried taking me in his arms.

Good. I had him where I wanted him.

“So, my love.” I whispered, “what is the secret of your strength?”

"His eyes flickered with emotion – I could tell he was torn between keeping his secret because his God had told him to and torn because he loved me and wanted to please me.

I continued whispering soothing words of love and pushing for him to tell me. Finally, he let out a frustrated groan and stood up. Samson paced the room for a few minutes.

Then in defeat he knelt at my feet, grabbed my hands and murmured, “A razor has never been used on my head.”

My eyes rounded....."
