"Dear diary,

We had the most amazing thing happen to my family and I today! I HAVE to tell you all about it.

About a month ago my dad lost his job at the company he worked for. They went bankrupt and had no money to pay anyone out. So they had to let every single employee go. We were devastated but specially my dad. He had been at the company for so long and he feels cheated that after so many years, nothing was given to him in return.

Mum reminded him that God had put him there for a reason and that he shouldn’t feel resentful. Anyways, a few weeks have gone by and dad hasn’t been able to find a job.

He does little jobs like mowing someone’s lawn or fixing things around their house, but nothing concrete or stable. My sister and I are at school all day so we don’t work and my works three days a week – but her salary doesn’t cover everything..."
