"Nathan, while you’re on the other side of the creek, knock over that pile of stones. It’s strange how they’re piled up so high.” Joe scanned the woods around him. The forest floor abruptly ended a few feet away in a small bank. Sunlight glinted from the gentle current of the wide stream below. The 15-year-old loved how cool and clear the water was on such a warm summer day as this one. “No problem!” Nathan straightened his goggles and sent a stream of water spewing from his snorkel as he paddled across the creek. Joe watched as Nathan neared the opposite side, where water lapped a beach of small stones. A stone tower sat in the creek several feet from the shore. “Here goes!” Using his body weight, Nathan toppled the tower. Feeling satisfied, both boys set off on the trail home through the woods. Several days later when the boys returned to the creek with their dad, Nathan was the first to appear at the bank. “Joe, the rock tower is back again!”
