Ep. 30 - The Comedy Reject - a podcast by Noor Kidwai

In This episode I speak with comedian Sterling Scott. Sterling is winner of the San Fransisco Comedy Competition, and also featured on numerous comedy festivals and television appearances.  

Sterling speaks about a fall out with a comedy club because of racial issues and tells his side of the story. Sterling speaks out against racial injustice and shares some of his experiences from his comedy career. He also explains the narrative in society about black people and how it influences racism.  

Sterling explains how his family influenced his comedy, particularly his mother. He shares how he was taught to accept who you are and how that can turn into self-love and not allow other people’s views of you affect you. He shares how this helped him in his art form.  

Sterling also shares his up and down road to winning the San Fransisco International Comedy Competition.
