In this episode I speak with writer, comedian and director of the Comedy Here Often Podcast Network Dan Duvall. Dan tells us about his battle with addiction and his road to recovery. He shares how his career started to take off but he was always drunk and never present enough to enjoy his successes.  

Dan explains the idea of how the opposite of addiction is connection. We talk about how you can reconnect with yourself, the people close to you, and to the present moment.  

Dan also talks about what it was like living with a lack of self-worth. He explains how that lead to him manipulating people to make them think you’re something that you’re not. He explains how he had to learn to be himself and love himself. He also talks about learning what you can and cannot control in life and how that can bring an inner peace.
