Ep. 61 - The Power of Mindset - a podcast by Noor Kidwai

In this episode I speak with attorney and author Kirk Nurmi. Kirk rose to international prominence as the lead council for infamous Jodi Arias murder trial. Kirk talks about the stress of representing clients who may get the death penalty. He shares the media circus surrounding the Jodi Arias trial when it became a global event and the death threats and isolation he felt as a result.  

Kirk tells us about getting cancer after the trial and knowing that the cancer came from the stress of the trial. He talks about needing the find self-worth before going to chemotherapy. Kirk tells us about finding spirituality during chemotherapy with the help of different mentors. 

Kirk and I also talk about the power of mindset. He talks about looking at the events in life as not happening to you, but for you. Kirk shares some of his self-care routine to build a stronger mindset and bring more gratitude in his life. Kirk also gives us some tips on how to get rid of excessive worrying.
