Dondi Wall has lived in and around the Lowcountry of South Carolina his entire life. He grew up in Ridgeland, SC and as an avid hunter and fisherman never cared much for golf. But that all changed once he moved to Hilton Head Island in the early 1980’s. Once introduced to the game by a few friends he was hooked. In today’s show he talks about the culture of the area in the early days of the island, why meeting and talking to people is so important as a life skill, and sheds light on some of the history of golf on Hilton Head Island. He also touches on the different cultures each community in the area has and why selecting the right one is so important. After listening to him there won’t be any question why he is one of the most beloved people in the Lowcountry and anytime you mention his name around this area the first thing people do is smile.
