Hey Sox fans! The Chicago White Sox (79-80) just completed their final road series of the season as they took two of three from the San Diego Padres. Davis Martin and Lance Lynn had stellar outings for the Sox and Elvis Andrus provided the offense. The big news revolving around the Chicago White Sox is the possible retirement announcement by Tony La Russa. Bob Nightengale, from USA Today, said in a recent article that Tony La Russa will indeed announce his retirement and the Chicago White Sox will be looking for their fourth manager in eight seasons. The list of potential names is long: Bruce Bochy, Joe Espada, Carlos Beltran, and even Miguel Cairo to name a few. Others, like Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune, have hinted at AJ Pierzynski or Ozzie Guillen being possible options. We are hoping the White Sox organization performs a serious managerial search this time around as they find a new voice and leader for, what should be, a very talented group of players in 2023.
