Honouring the words of the late Dr Teresia Teaiwa it is important ‘to remind people of the complexity (of the Pacific) and not let them try to paint us with a single brush stroke'.

Join a panel of Pacific youth who share their perspectives and experiences on the pressing issues faced by the nations of the Pacific region, such as independence, climate change, and cultural retention. Chaired by Andrew Fa’avale from MANA Pasifika, this conversation highlights the valuable resource that the youth voice represents for the future. With over 1,200 recorded indigenous languages and 20,000 different islands and atolls, the complexity of the Pacific must be acknowledged and celebrated.Panel members include: Iree Chow, Timothy Harm, Augusta Lokea and Megan Sainian Talvat
