After the Olympics put most domestic racing series on hiatus, the Grip Strip Podcast returns for Episode 72 with the regular crew to discuss the events of the previous week at Hungary along with Watkins Glen, Nashville, Road America, and more.  Phil and Josh review Esteban Ocon's first F1 win at the Hungaroring after Valtteri Bottas became the car version of Jason Belmonte's bowling ball.  The guys go over the cluster&%$# that was Mercedes which saw Lewis Hamilton only finish 3rd after a spirited battle with Ocon's teammate Fernando Alonso along with Vettel's DQ after almost winning and much more.

The guys preview the Music City Grand Prix, make picks, and discuss the points situation with six races remaining.  Can Josef Newgarden win at home or will the Ganassi team continue their charge with Palou and Dixon?  Will Pato O'Ward continue his chase with another victory?  Silly season discussion also takes place with multiple rides looking to be open.

NASCAR returns with a triple-header at Watkins Glen with William Clyde Elliott II the obvious favorite.  However, the Hendrick and Gibbs teams have basically traded off the majority of road course wins in recent years.  The guys make their picks and discuss the points for all three series.

The Roundup goes over F3 & W Series at Hungary, IMSA at Road America, MotoGP/Moto2 at Austria, DTM at Zolder, and some football talk with the start of training camp.  Josh discusses his exploits on iRacing in his Sim Segment before Phil and Josh close the show.
