Numerous factors have many Canadian grain farmers hesitant to forward contract their crops at this point, despite grain and oilseed prices that are well above historic averages.  Bruce Burnette with Markets Farm, based in Winnipeg, explains that, with planting season in sight, many farmers seem unusually reluctant to forward contract any of their crop right now. And, he says this is especially the case for Prairie farmers who have recently experienced drought.
