As time goes on and rain doesn’t come, more and more North Dakota counties are entering extreme drought status better known as the D3 drought category. Rick Schmidt is a rancher and county agent with NDSU Extension Oliver County in Center North Dakota. Schmidt says many producers have delayed planting, in hopes of moisture.
