After this year’s drought, many cattle producers are heading into the winter feeding season with lower-quality hay supplies - like CRP hay or corn stover. NDSU Extension Specialist Janna Block says producers need to be honest with themselves about their feed quality -- because there are consequences for pregnant cow conditions this winter, and calf health for next season.
