The cool, wet weather has made calf health top of mind for many producers across the state. Dr. Gerald Stokka, NDSU Extension Veterinarian, Livestock Sterwardship Specialist, says new calves need colostrum to get the nutrition and vitamins they need. He says while snow and cold can put stress on the calves, we are into April, the ground is warm and the snow should melt quickly.
