This week, the Consig made a call to center field in Philly & got an oddsmaker to get some reps with the boys.  THIS IS THE SHOW.  Ben Porter, a trader at Kambi Sportsbook, joins Dave, Carl and Neuby with the late May edition of the Cash Considerations Show.

Listen as Ben tells the boys how he went from Newton, MA to the Kambi Sportsbook offices in Philadelphia. After playing baseball in college at Columbia, Ben joined the book as a trader and found his way to specializing in baseball betting. No longer tracking down fly balls like Gary Matthews Jr, Ben gives you a peek behind the curtain into what goes into taking bets and coming up with prop bets on a daily basis. Porter is a Boston guy who turned his love of the game into a gig and still loves watching day baseball. Taking the good with the bad, Ben does it without gloves and gives us all a tip you won’t forget.

Porter  sticks around with the boys to talk sports, gambling and life. First stop is the NBA. The playoffs have begun, and there are not many surprises. The Nets and Sixers, the top seeds in the East, and Dallas, are all up 2-0. Dave fires from three and asks if they will sweep.  Ben, Carl & Neuby leave the brooms out of it even after they PLAY THE SONG. #AnybodyButTheNets is a thing, and Carl amends it to include the Lakers. Dave makes a case for his adopted team, the 76ers, to make the Finals. It’s a Yes/No for each, a couple hard fouls, and a realization that the Lakers are going to beat the Suns.

The Stanley Cup playoffs are the best playoffs, and the “Pulling the Goalie” segment does not disappoint. Dave looked at each series, including how his Penguins lost to the Islanders and the sweeps in Canada and Colorado. Before he ran out of time talking about the Game 7 in Vegas, Carl had Neuby play a song, and even Porter was caught off guard talking about the Bruins win. The ice is good as the boys skate through this segment.

The baseball talk, newly dubbed “Good morning , Good afternoon, Good night,” is all heat. Porter nails the first pitch right out of the park when Dave asks the boys about the Dodgers. Neuby asks for a pinch hitter, and Carl follows Porter in the order. Who will be favored over the Dodgers and when (they have been favored in 130 games straight)? Are the Giants for real? What about the Red Sox? You might be surprised by the Boston guys answers, but the numbers and the schedule say they may be right. There are no batting gloves, but it’s doubles and bombs, bruh, as Ben and the boys swing away.

Lastly, the coordinating producer/social media manager/co host Carl H-A-S-C-A-L-L went with a favorite sports memory question on the “Carl’s Corner” segment of the show. Tell us your personal, best, repeat viewing games and highlights. Neuby went to the Birds, Ben had a catch and a fat guy kickoff return, Dave had a few in the ring, on the ice and on the diamond, and Carl circled it all back to 28-3 and the Pats. For the first time ever, the “Brady mention” prop cashed to the over & Carl nailed the read while the boys went down memory lane.

As it always does, The Take a Minute segment closed the show on Cash Considerations. Carl gave thanks and shout outs for the show, Neuby served up some popcorn Philly style, Ben made a case for the decimal system, and Dave gave the Consig women each a shout out before he moved his shit to the Hamptons.

Sit back, listen in & laugh a bunch to this hand treatment, end of May episode of the Cash Considerations podcast.
