This week, the Consig made a call to the track and got a golf pro to putt around with the boys.  THIS IS THE SHOW.  Sean Alvarez (@Smoothturn2), PGA level golfer & horse racing handicapper, joins Dave, Carl and Neuby with another April edition of the Cash Considerations Show.

Listen as Sean tells the boys how he went from San Diego high school baseball star to the winner’s circle at Del Mar. After college, Sean went from selling women’s shoes in La Jolla to hangin at the track with the Bafferts. In between, Alvarez picked up golf and became a PGA teaching pro. Now living in Las Vegas, Sean knows his way around a track, has all the shots in his bag, and drops a couple bombs on the boys by the end of the interview.

Sean sticks around with the boys to talk sports, gambling and life. First stop is the NFL draft. The picks are in, and it’s instant reaction time. Carl is ecstatic with his new Brady in New England and is Jonesing to talk about the Mac. Neuby didn’t come out of his Eagles shoes with their pick, but he is feeling lucky. Alvarez may have left San Diego like his Chargers but he swings free and easy on his first round. Dave just hands the ball to Najee and tries to run out the clock on NFL talk in April.

May is here, as is the Kentucky Derby, and the boys hand over the reins to the horse guy. Sean competes in the National Horseplayer’s Championship (NHC), and he breaks down the Run for the Roses like a pro. Quick out of the gate, right to the rail and a strong call down the stretch. Alvarez plays golf to a scratch handicap, and, barring any scratches, gives us all a trifecta that beats the chalk. Carl asks about the 14, Dave tells everybody to spend the 27, and Neuby is not a horse’s ass at the window. Listen, write it down and don’t get shut out before the greatest two minutes in sports.

The clock is ticking, but the boys don’t give a shit as they swing around all the sports. Baseball leads off, and the boys go around the horn. Sean says the Braves are fine, but the NL East stinks. Neuby agrees, but says don’t throw at the Phils. Dave is happy with the Buccos at .500, and Carl pulls a hidden ball trick with the Red Sox hot start.

Sean can’t skate & Neuby plays with his lacrosse stick while Carl and Dave “Pull the Goalie” this week. No empty netters, but the two old guys square off in a precursor to what’s coming in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The boys run it back with the NBA. No flagrant fouls but #AnybodyButTheNets. Play the song, dribble it out and hope for no OT.

Too late & already over the total, the boys weigh in on what is the worst overtime in sports. The marshal issued a warning for slow play, and the group picked up the pace in a quick debate.

Lastly, the coordinating producer/social media manager/co host Carl H-A-S-C-A-L-L stepped to the tee box with the “Carl’s Corner” segment of the show. If you could play a round of golf with anyone, who would it be? Dave invited everybody to his family affair, Neuby went the celebrity route, Sean picked a heavy hitter group, and Carl made an 8 that any dad would be proud of.

Coming up the 18th fairway after a marathon round, The Take a Minute segment on the Cash Considerations show was ball bustin’, center cut, pork chop. Noobs called out the baseball refs about unwritten rules, Carl wants his beer in glass and all caps, Sean reviews Neuby & baseball to get it right, and Dave gives the Consig kids some love with a walk off of their own.

Sit back, listen in & laugh a little to this record setting, marathon edition “Trip around the track” episode of the Cash Considerations podcast. Share/rate/review the show for a chance at $100 free bet.
