A chef understands food at a fundamental level. Because they understand food deeply they can create an infinite number of recipes. This is infinity valuable and cannot be replaced.

A cook just knows how to execute recipes but is nothing without the recipes. Because the number of recipes they have are finite their success is limited.

There are a few undeniable basic truths to finding success in business that can’t be deduced further.

They are a mental model for navigating difficult and complex problems. Like winning in competitive business.

Remove everything that you ‘think’ is true based on experience, upbringing, conditioning, assumptions or opinion and replace it with which you are certain are true and can’t be deduced further.
