"O to be immersed in the death of Jesus and to be resurrected into His likeness! Who will desire it! Who will go after the baptism of death! The fear of dying is something that has been stopping us from living the life of Christ! Life and death are always walking and working together for the sake of Christ. Unto some the fragrance of life, unto others the fragrance of death (2 cor 2:16). Jesus showed an even greater weight of glory at Lazarus’ funeral. Why are we so afraid? Lack of understanding. Lack of trust. Your carnal mind questions why it is so hard, why He does not just give you the breakthrough, why this, why that? Beloved, welcome to your funeral. If you lose, you gain. If you try to save it, you will lose it. Upside down kingdom! We keep trying to preserve our lives, our callings, our ministries. We keep doing a spiritual CPR trying to resurrect it when the only thing that can bring it back to life is really to let it die! As Esther said…If I perish, I perish…Death in you and in me will produce much, greater life in others (2 Corinthians 4:12). Consider all, everything that you have or wish to have as rubbish, vapor, temporal, perishable (Philippians 3:8)! For this reason, there is such a joy concerning being delivered unto death daily for the sake of Christ! This type of people that always will bear in their own body the dying of the Lord Jesus are the only ones that will experience the life of Jesus being manifested in their own body, in their mortal flesh! Only when we die, will we be able to be clothed with Christ Himself! For the sake of Christ, for the sake of others, be baptized into the death of Jesus, and let us all be resurrected into His likeness! May God fill you and me today with the anguish of a soul that is gladly dying for the sake of Christ!" By Marlene Roessiger
