Welcome to Have a Blessed Gay, your weekly spiritual-comedy podcast! Join holy host, Tyler Martin, as he critically discusses social norms, current events, mental health, religion, and spirituality from an outcast's perspective.

In this episode, Tyler chats with the immensely talented Jonathan Parks-Ramage, a Los Angeles based novelist, screenwriter and journalist. Jonathan often works at the intersections of LGBTQ+ issues, spirituality, and entertainment. His debut novel, YES, DADDY, was just released on May 18 and Amazon Studios is already adapting the book for television. His writing has been widely published in outlets like VICE, Slate, OUT Magazine, Elle and Medium. Jonathan and his screenwriting partner Marla Mindelle recently sold their musical feature film screenplay, The Big Gay Jamboree, to Paramount Pictures. The duo has also sold television pilots to ABC and Pop TV. This is a creative doing the damn thing!

Tyler and Jonathan discuss being raised by Christian ministers, his new book, embracing trauma, the “perfect” victim, his work as a journalist, and the power of finding an uplifting and affirming community. This is a kickass conversation with some amazing quotes that will leave you feeling uplifted!
