There has been a popular thought that Iowa’s multi-year quarterbacks ‘get worse’ as they get older in the program. I have heard this bandied about quite a bit through the years, and Deace and I have debated this point.
In my opinion, and as I explain in the podcast, some of these instances, especially with Drew Tate and James Vandenberg,This topic came up back in September and I sat down to tackle some of the common notions that are thrown out pursuant to the narrative that Iowa’s multi-year starting quarterbacks get ‘worse’ the longer they are in the program. I think I must have been irritated at some of the debates I was in, so I apologize for coming off a bit edgy.
