In September 2000, her mother was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s disease which exposed her to a new culture in healthcare and ultimately paved the path for her passion today. As a child of Alzheimer’s, she has dedicated her life to being an advocate for people living with the disease, as well as their caregivers. Leihla is currently the Community Sales Director for Oxford Memory Care Residence in Grand Prairie, an active member of the Alzheimer’s Impact Movement, Dallas Chapter - Alzheimer’s Association - The Longest Day Committee Member, North Texas Chapter - Alzheimer’s Association, 2020 Walk Chair – The Walk To End Alzheimer’s Arlington/Mansfield, Tarrant County Area Gerontological Society Scholarship Committee, AWARE Executive Committee for Membership, Tarrant County Local Elder Assistance Partners (LEAP) Member and active with Dementia Friendly America (Dallas & Fort Worth Chapters).
