Our guest this week is from Mercy Medical Center – Kathy Smithberger, Physical Therapist and Administrative Director of Rehabilitation Therapy Services at Mercy Medical Center.  After illness, injury, or surgery, some patients need intensive, inpatient rehabilitative care, such as physical, occupational, or speech therapy. Such services are sometimes provided in inpatient rehabilitation facilities. We will talk with Kathy about the differences between Inpatient Rehabilitation Services and Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation as well as explaining the services offered within the Inpatient Rehabilitation Center.
