Each year about 160,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer, and about 27,000 die of the disease. Prostate cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death, in men. On today's episode, we had our Guest Speaker in the person of Mutiat Sunshine delve more into this topic. Mutiat Sunshine is an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, that loves preventive medicine. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN), and a Master's from Rutgers State University, New Jersey and has been active for 14 years. She is a recipient of the DAISY award for extraordinary nursing and has been honoured with an induction into the Sigma Theta Tau Society of Nurses. Mutiat believes in giving back, so she organises an annual free health drive in rural Nigeria, and regularly hosts "Health Talk with Mutiat" on Facebook Live.
