It was an awesome time in the studio with co- host, Emme Lentino and Rob Amoruso, right here at Heart of Indie Radio!

Rob Amoruso is a writer / producer / mix engineer based in Melbourne, Australia. From a family of musicians, he picked up his first instrument at two years old, and by the age of five had graduated to full musical performances with his family.

Cutting his teeth playing in church gospel bands, Rob’s love for music flourished. Not bound by any specific style or genre, he played various instruments in several bands with his friends from age twelve.

In 2013, Rob and his four best mates formed a band called Jakubi. Over the next 5 years playing sold out tours, parties and festivals across North America with Jakubi, Rob discovered his true passion lay in writing and producing with people of all backgrounds, styles and genres. He spent a year being mentored by writer/producer duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (Janet Jackson, Boys II Men, Mariah Carey).

Rob has worked across an expansive range of genres - writing and collaborating with producers such as Scott Storch (Dr Dre), Eric Hudson (Chris Brown), and Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie) and artists ranging from Kelly Rowland and Macy Gray, to established Australian acts such as The Rubens, Kyle Lionhart, Isabella Manfredi and Hannah Joy (Middle Kids).

Rob has amassed over 50 million streams across online music platforms.
