Josh Welton of Brown Dog Welding - a podcast by Hemmings

Artist, fabricator, welder, tradesman, and educator - that would be a very broad description of Josh Welton, this week’s guest on the Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ Podcast. As advocate for the trades, Josh and wife Darla created the Still Building America Project through their company Brown Dog Welding, whose mission is to bring awareness to the trades that helped build America - something that we so desperately need. When not advocating for the trades though, his time is spent at General Dynamics Land Systems where he is a fabricator, mechanic, and driver.

The passion portion of his life comes in the form of some of the coolest metal sculptures you’re ever likely to see. From cars and motorcycles to stunning figurines, not only do his creations tell a story, but they also have the ability to take your mind on a journey that’s only limited by your imagination.
