Like so many of us, Terry Wilson’s relationship with cars started with diecasts. It was love at first sight and thanks to an uncle who was a huge car enthusiast, that love would evolve into Terry spending summers working under cars in his uncle’s garage. And by age ten, Terry found himself playing with some of today’s most highly sought-after vehicles on the back roads of South Carolina. Throughout high school and into his adult life, he continued to work on and eventually built some impressive muscle cars. Then, in 1997, a call came in from a friend who worked at a Chevrolet dealership about the then new, LS powered Camaro Z/28. Back then the LS series of engines was brand new from General Motors, yet Terry knew the platform would be perfect for aftermarket applications.

Thus, after a few conversations, Terry put his money where his mouth was and built one of the first LS powered 6-speed 1969 Camaros in the Tri-state area. He then turned his attention to his 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle and while working on it some of his car buddies asked him to document the build. With requests building, the Coverman66 YouTube channel was born. Once up, Terry began getting comments and positive feedback from people around the globe asking for guidance with their own LS projects. Today with over 200 YouTube and Instagram videos and millions of views worldwide, Terry Wilson has cemented himself as one of the leading DIY personalities in the LS swap community.

In honor of Terry, we’ve also pulled a wonderful 1969 Chevrolet Camaro X22 SS from our classifieds for everyone to drool over.
