Rich Waitas on Engineering, Movies and Magnaflow (Eps. 20) - a podcast by Hemmings

Few people in the automotive industry have worn as many hats as Rich Waitas, our guest on this week’s Hemmings Hot Rod BBQ. As an engineer, fabricator and Senior Manager for Magnaflow, he’s been instrumental in bringing some outstanding products to market for the betterment of our hobby. And as a trusted educational resource in regard to engineering and automotive culture, he’s also been entrenched behind the scenes in some of our favorite automotive movie franchises and television shows. Unlike so many others though, he doesn’t throw his talents in the faces of others or boast about his contributions. Instead Rich Waitas simply goes about the business of improving every aspect of the hobby he becomes involved with, and for that we should all be thankful. 

His story is one of perseverance and hard work, but more so, it’s about creating a dream career in an industry that can be unforgiving.
