This week's chat is with Lisa Jey Davis. Lisa Jey is an award winning writer. She's a blogger, vlogger, and a painter. She's a Huffington Post and livestrong.com contributer. Her memoir, "Ms. Cheevious in Hollywood - My Zany Years Spent Working in Tinsel Town" became the #1 Best-Selling New Release on Amazon in its category. Lisa Jey is also a fitness and women's health professional and the author of "Ahhhhhh...Haaaaaa Moments with Ms. Cheevious", which is a yoga routine in an e-book. And she's got the upcoming "Getting Over Your Ovaries - How To Make The Change Of Life Your Bitch", which is a witty survival guide for women approaching 40 (or older) dealing with their own life change, or those witnessing it first-hand.

In this episode, we talk about how book publishing has changed in recent years, about the rise of self-publishing, and Lisa Jey shares her own self-publishing experience. She discusses what it's like to be an artist and a mother and how she had to separate who she was as a mom and who she was as an artist while writing and releasing Ms. Cheevious in Hollywood. She also talks about how blogging has helped her writing career. Oh! And I can't forget to tell you about her paintings, which you have to see! I'll provide a link in the show notes, along with photos, and fun facts over at herprocess.com.
