Sen. Barack Obama’s $25 million dollar fundraising fete was impressive but maintaining and growing his vast supporter base will be difficult and most likely will fizzle by the start of next year’s primaries for two reasons.

First, Obama’s greatest strengths which are his relative youth, fierce utilization of technology, and his charismatic style will eventually begin to plateau by the end of the third quarter going into 2008. Similar to a bell shape curve from a college statistics course, Obama’s fundraising prowess and novelty will see a slow but steady decline, putting him on par with Clinton and Edwards, popularity wise.
